levels are different in the anime than in the game people say ashes pikachu should be the best but did it ever occur to you that the pokemon that beat it are stronger and its not ashes fault his pokemon don't evolve and just because he is the main character doesn't mean he should win everything and in the leagues you fight tens of trainers but in the games only 5. Its very realistic that he loses

What ash needs to start doing is evolving all his pokemon .. he is lucky by getting all 3 starter pokemon.. he could totaly have a unstopable team he just needs to learn to use them and raise them to there full power .. they are strong for there 1st stage just immage them fully evolved .. look at all his last ones he evolved they become his best pokemon to the point they have the best fights.. only one that doesnt need evolved is pikachu he is allready his best pokemon been around forever
